Lets go fly...

With their Christmas money, the kids went "flying" for an hour.  Each boy landed their catch since they have done this before and Fran dug deep down inside to find her brave heart!

After her first pass she ran over to me with huge tears saying she did not want to do it again and how scared she was but talked herself into her second pass.  This time she ran to me with the biggest smile saying "I love trapeze!  I want to live here!  I don't ever want to leave!  Can I have my birthday here..."

Chicken Shit Sunday

I cannot think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in ATX...sunshine, family, cold beer, free food, chickens, BINGO, and a winner!

Dirt Road Detour

I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with 2 amazing women!  On my way home from Nowhere West Texas I decided to take a quick dirt road detour to the Regency Suspension Bridge.  Why not?  When was the last time I road tripped alone?

After 5 miles of gravel I finally found it.

I walked from one side to the other, too scared to drive across.

Unfortunately, I could not get this image out of my mind...and that is why I only walked across!

New Years 2014

Another fun week with lots of friends and memories!

Should've Named Her "Velcro"

It has only been less than 3 weeks and we absolutely LOVE this girl!  I do feel sorry for her though...in the short amount of time she has had 2 trips to the farm, a trip to Dallas to stay at 3 different grandmas houses, and surgery (no puppies for us!).  What an easy going, bundle full of fur she has proved herself to be.

BUT...she is NOT a farm dog.  Even though I think she wants to be, every sticker on our place was attached to her at some time.  We were even desperate enough we made her some boots to wear, and she LOVED them!  Unfortunately I see a summer shave in our future.

She cannot figure out the cattle guard so the only time she tried crossing, she gave up 1/2 way and sat there until I carried her.  She also discovered her bark.  Reminded me of a baby lion trying to roar!

And she thought the floor mattress was for her.  The kids did not mind, so neither did we!
