7 Years!

7 months to 7 years...this kid looks the exact same, so darn handsome!

Who could ask for a better birthday: skipping school for an hour and a half for a Sonic grilled cheese and Ash Wednesday mass, a Texas winter day with temps in the mid-80's, and brownie a la mode (per request) for his birthday dessert. His steak dinner will follow tomorrow.

Basketball

Only one more Saturday of spending our mornings at all the different gyms around town for basketball. After next week we move onto the Field of Dreams...where we will have 2 in baseball and 1 in soccer. Here is to 3 months of sleepless Saturdays!

Village Boys

Alex participated in the school's talent show last night with 5 buddies. They were the Village Boys dancing to the infamous YMCA. They might have not had the best rhythm or hit every move in sync...but they did have most of the audience out of their seat singing along!

Where are my land legs??

Our trip was AMAZING!! I have been off the boat for 4 days now and I still feel like I am living with 10 ft swells around me. With over 3000 (yes, no typo there) photos to sort through, here is a quick peek at our 10 day, 40th birthday celebration trip.

To narrate: after a LONG travel day we arrived late into St. George, Grenada. Day 2 was spent with our personal driver/local "Joe" who showed us his favorite spots on the island, chopped down coconuts for fresh water, hiked trough the rain forest and swam in 2 waterfalls. Days 3-8 all run together...blaming it on the rum punch! Boarded our 47 ft Moorings boat. Traveled to Carriacou, Sandy Island, Union Island, Petite St. Vincent, Mayreau, Tobago Cayes, and Mopion. The Mr wanted his head shaved, we hung the Texas flag, took school supplies and shoes to the kids of Mayreau, admired every sunrise and sunset, played Frisbee on our private sandbar and toasted each meal and beverage to the 4 turning 40 this year.

Now were are trying to adjust to reality...3 kids, responsibility, alarm clocks, telephone calls, email, etc.
