Faith, Family, Friends

The TRUE reason of this season...Merry Christmas!

City Girl Meets Farm

Taking our city dog to the farm for the first time...a love/hate relationship!

She LOVED the hundreds of acres for free range running.
She LOVED swimming, even though she was hesitant at first.  Water temp, no problem.
She LOVED the mud, cow patties, and unknown around every corner and tree.
She LOVED the crate-less nights.

She HATED the countless stickers we pulled from her.
She HATED the shower at the end of the day (she is definitely a bubble bath girl.)

She was happy to return home...clean, fluffy, and exhausted!
Next week we will let her meet the cows ;)

An Early Christmas Present

After the Lakeway Trail of Lights, we told the kids we wanted to go see the Christmas Tree at the Domain.  Little did they know while Daddy was "parking the car," he picked up their Christmas present!

As he walked her to the tree the kids were more inquisitive than surprised...a puppy, who's is it, for real??

Needless to say, they have yet to stop smiling 48 hours later!

She love to play chase!

Fetch!

 Race !

Wrestle with her new friends!

She even enjoyed her first bath with us tonight.

She is definitely beat at the end of the day and happily walks into her crate to sleep.  I think we found the PERFECT present, the PEFECT dog, the PERFECT little sister for Fran, and the PERFECT best friend for all of us!

Love'n Our New Neighbors

So very thankful that some of our bestest are moving to ATX.  Even more thankful that they are less than 1/2 a mile away.  Here is to the first of millions of adventures...Lakeway Trail of Lights 2013!

Still Believing...

You guess...

One was too old to sit on his lap but had no problems asking for an iPad mini.

Another has a heart too big for his age and makes mine melt.

And the final was too shy to look the jolly old man in the eye but asked for an American Girl Doll.  I asked her (playing dumb) "What is that?"  she responded "I don't know but it is what my friends are asking for!"

Almost famous...

Our busy schedules lately have gotten us almost famous...

People LOVE our Merry Minion Christmas Tree!

And the kids were caught in the action of giving!

Full of Thanks!

As always, an amazing Thanksgiving week!

I am thankful for...an amazing piece of land that we can escape to at anytime and 8 days off to enjoy it this time.  My children actually getting along this break more than they fought.  A lake that does not look empty.  Nature walks and  our visitors.  A new fire escape to the tree house.  Hunters and the free meat (well, probably not free at all once you tally up the cost of a stand, corn, game cams, ammo, hunting licences, processing fee, mounting fee, new deep freeze, etc.)

Keeping Austin Weird....A Merry Minion Christmas

Our 2nd Annual tree decorating fiesta on the side of HWY 360 with the cousins.  We were actually prepared this year...minions, beer, hot chocolate, music, step stools, and dads to do most of the work.

Quick Road Trip

A last minute road trip to Bryan-College Station to cheer on the Rockdale Tigers and the Lake Travis Cavaliers ended with a tour of  Santa's Wonderland.  The hour wait to park, hour wait to get tickets, and hour plus to get on the hay ride almost was worth it!  The millions of lights were gorgeous but we were exhausted.  Maybe DON'T visit on a Saturday night?!?
