Hill Country Wine Trail

We were able to sneak away (thanks Mom!) for a quick 3 day anniversary trip to the Texas Wine Country.  7 vineyards, 1 bourbon distillery, a micro brew, pick'n in Luckenbach, and a hike to Jacob's Well and the top of Prayer Mountain were all checked off the list.

Young Authors

All 3 kids participated in a voluntary program at school this year.  Each student is given a chance to write, illustrate, and publish their own book.  The boys opted to co-author with a friend.  This past week, they were each presented with their official hard back copy!

Lets go fly...

With their Christmas money, the kids went "flying" for an hour.  Each boy landed their catch since they have done this before and Fran dug deep down inside to find her brave heart!

After her first pass she ran over to me with huge tears saying she did not want to do it again and how scared she was but talked herself into her second pass.  This time she ran to me with the biggest smile saying "I love trapeze!  I want to live here!  I don't ever want to leave!  Can I have my birthday here..."

I cannot think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in ATX...sunshine, family, cold beer, free food, chickens, BINGO, and a winner!
