Beta Birthday Bash

After experiencing 2 family deaths in 2 days...the need to celebrate life was definitely a priority in our house.  It has been exactly 1 year since we bought our 3 Beta Fish so...

1.  Make a fish cake.
2.  Make a banner.
3.   Invite some friends and their Betas over as soon as school is out.
4.  13 kids and 7 Betas later...the best Beta Birthday Bash in town

Labor Day ~ 2012

Another long weekend, always the perfect excuse to head out to the farm.. We got a new riding toy and still enjoyed the old!

And ever since our visit to Lake Granger during Memorial Weekend, they have been begging to return.  So we headed out there for a few hours to beat the heat and have some water fun!

Celebrating Summer - Friday

The last official week day before school starts and we decided to try ice skating.  It was a short and cold adventure but there were no tears, no broken bones, and no blood...so I would call it a success!

Celebrating Summer - Thursday

After breaking down camp, driving home in time for a 12:00 swim party, and meeting the boy's teacher up at school after dinner (they were both blessed with AMAZING ones), we hosted an ice cream sundae party for our street.  It was an awesome turn out and only confirms the fact we live on the best street in Austin America!

Celebrating Summer - Wednesday

Our cousins joined us for a camping trip at Inks Lake.  Once camp was set up we headed to Devil's Waterhole for some cliff jumping.  All 5 kids and the 2 adventure moms took the plunge!

A stop off at the lodge for a 60 minute paddle boat rental (the kids had enough after 15!) and a few games of checkers kept the kids smiling.

Even though we rented a cabin (with AC) our tent served as the "playpen" for the kids and our adopted one from a neighboring campsite.

After dinner we played a few sunset BINGO games then finally broke up the highly anticipated s'mores.

A great night, with great kids, looking forward to the next!
