Hill Country Lights

Rather than fighting the crowds in Austin, we headed west and toured the famous Johnson City Lights and light trail of Marble Falls.  Lucy even joined us!

 



MLF ~ Christmas Dinner

A full evening with basketball, we managed to make it downtown to slice pies for an hour for our friends in need.  A few hand shakes to the hungry waiting in line and we were done.  Short and sweet but trying to keep the season of giving alive!

Nothing better than heading downtown with a group of friends for brunch and The Nutcracker!

 

 



9 year tradition

With all the other holiday festivities planned this year, our annual gingerbread house decorating party was sadly going to be eliminated from the list.  Then neighbors started calling to let me know they have bought their kits...when's the party?  

Can we say guilt trip!

Early Saturday morning we were free.  Last minute invitations were sent.  The tradition continues!

With a morning trip to get her ear's pierced and then a lunch date with friends, she had one of the best days ever.  

Tradition Time

It is that time of year...time to start checking off the "Tradition List!"

- Keep Austin Weird and decorate a tree on Hwy 360...check!

- Help Mobile Loaves and Fishes feed our friends in need Thanksgiving Dinner...check!

Lost Maples ~ 2014

Our annual fall camping trip was at the perfect place with the perfect weather this year.  After reserving our campsites 11 months in advance, the timing could not have been better.  Too many kids (20), too many adults (14), too many dogs (5), and not enough time.

We hiked and hiked and hiked.  Saw the colors of fall.  Played Minute-to-Win-It  games.  Celebrated a birthday.  Relaxed by the fire.  And even witnessed the "fire ball" fill the starlit sky Saturday night.  Until next year...

Halloween and Carnival Fun

We have had a FULL 3 weeks of nothing but carnivals, candy, and costumes... City of Lakeway's Goblin Glow, school carnival, LRMC's haunted house and trunk or treat, and Fall Fest.  Can't wait to have all that candy disappear tomorrow after the kids go off to school!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Mustang Island ~2014

Another successful camping trip to add to the photo album...this time with our furry friend.  And she LOVES the ocean but HATES the sand!  

We made it home without catching the stomach bug (knock on wood), struck by lightening, or being completely soaked by thunderstorms.  Thank God for rainbows!
